Description
Spare parts Cables for PSU
The 180° 12V-2x6 Cable (also known as 12+4) is designed to solve compatibility issues caused by angled connector versions. The straight 180° exit angle ensures the cable routes cleanly without stressing the GPU connector, ideal for builds where 90° or other angled variants create clearance or fitment problems.
The 12V-2x6 connector, with clear purple markings, helps users confirm correct installation, preventing poor contact and power issues for enhanced safety and reliability.
The PSU must have a 12V-2x6 connector. Compatible with the following Cooler Master PSU models:
- SFX 750/850 ATX3.1
- V Platinum V2 1100/1300/1600
- GXI / GXII, SFX 1100/1300
- MWE Gold V2 750/850 3.1v
- MWE Gold V2 1050/1250
- Other Cooler Master PSU with a native 12V-2x6 Connector.
Connector naming reference:
-
12VHPWR — the predecessor connector; still frequently used interchangeably with 12V-2x6, though technically a different revision.
-
16-pin connector — informal name referring to the 16-pin total layout (12 power + 4 sideband)
-
12+4 pin connector — describes the same 16-pin layout.
Note: The key improvement of 12V-2x6 over 12VHPWR is the use of shorter sensing pins, specifically introduced to eliminate the partial-insertion issues seen with the original 12VHPWR connector on Nvidia 40/50-series GPUs.
